Whether you are auditioning for a middle- or high school musical, a college or high school program, a local or regional theater group, or are a fifty-year-old returning to stage, our friendly faculty will help you achieve your aspirations. Auditions depend on various circumstances of that day—your goal, however, to be prepared. At the Empire Performing Arts Academy, we like to say that you need to practice not until you get it right, but until you cannot get it wrong.

Musical Theater Auditions

Our faculty will guide you throughout the whole process of preparation for the audition. The first step is to select a proper song that fits your voice and it's not over sung in the auditions. Due to the nature of the auditions, and a large number of participants, you will most likely be asked to sing only 16 or 32 bar cut of the song. We want to ensure you are completely ready by teaching you how to tell a story through the song, work on your vocal technique, and how to make bold choices within the song.

Drama auditions

Our faculty will guide you throughout the entire audition preparation process. The first step is to select a proper song that fits your voice and is not overused in auditions. Due to the nature of auditions, and the large number of participants, you will most likely be asked to sing only a 16- or 32-bar cut of the song. We will help you make a big impact in those few short bars. To ensure you’re fully prepared, we teach you how to tell a story through music, enhance your vocal technique, and make bold choices within the song.
